Since the movie “Sex and the City,” everyone knows single women can be happy. But are there different ways to be happy around the world?

In this story, we found women that are happy because of something linked to their city, to their local culture. In Brazil, a samba dancer told us about how she cherishes dancing at the Rio Carnaval. In Stockholm, an interior designer finds creativity by creating minimalist moods for apartment decoration in the Swedish style. In Dubai, a Muslim woman is happy in her faith. And in South Africa, a performance artist challenges the notions of race and equality with daring visuals.

12 cities (Rio, Johannesburg, Stockholm, New York, Miami, Hawaii, Istanbul, Dubai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Bangkok, Auckland) – 10 pages
