Owning a home is one of life’s most momentous achievements, and for single women it can be especially rewarding. In South Africa, native landowners – male or female – are altogether a rarity, while in Moscow, women work to overcome the stereotype of being arm candy to elite men. An astronomical cost of living in cities like Tokyo makes it feel impossible to afford a home, but ambitious women know that it is within reach. From Sydney to Jakarta to Sao Paulo, 12 successful women from all over globe welcome us into their homes, proudly showing the life they have built for themselves independently. Whether renovating a condo to become the perfect lifelong home in Toronto or splurging on a glamourous first bachelorette pad in Singapore, the life of a single female homeowner is not an impossible dream, but a very joyful, stylish, and attainable way of life.

This is where this family of five has found happiness, renovating this very large house located on the riverbanks of one of France’s most beautiful rivers, in the Southwest region. They told us how being closer to nature and a slower paced lifestyle fit them better. And don’t forget the extra long swimming pool!
